For this version, EMT got global variables, which are easy to use. Moreover, EMT has a global list type if needed, which is essentially a dynamic array with average access time of O(1) and average time to add element of O(log n). I do not consider EMT as a general programming language. But to have less restrictions on variables might be welcome.
